The truth is I can never miss out on anything ‘real’. If I believe things and places are more real than where I am right now, then I will always be longing for the unreal. The unreal is that which I imagine will happen if I am somewhere else. When I believe my happiness and worth are to be found in another situation, circumstance or relationship, then I will experience the ‘anxious discontentment’ as a continuous background noise in my consciousness. Today let me be aware of what is ‘real’ and ‘unreal’.
