To become rigid is to become obstacle in life. When I am stuck in an opinion or a certain frame of mind, my energy becomes solid. When my energy does not flow, I am unable to move gracefully with life and its currents. Today let me soften any solid attitude or opinion and enjoy flowing with life.

Cynicism is laziness. When I join the wave of cynics in the world critiquing everything I am taking the easy mental road. It takes effort to see what is working, to dig beneath the surface to find the benefit in difficult situations. When I make this effort to overcome lazy thinking I am rewarded with a feeling of lightness and confidence. Today let me make the effort to notice what is beneficial around me.

You already have all that you need within you. Much of that my body needs comes from outside of me, but ALL that I, the soul, needs comes from within, and I can never lose it. However I can lose my awareness of my inner resource and I can lose my connection with them. The purpose of meditation is to sit quietly and rediscover my inner treasure store. To do this is to realize I have what I need within me. Today let me see what I have within me.

Truth cannot be hidden. It is like a diamond that shines wherever it is. When you are true to yourself you become like an alchemist’s stone, transforming and gathering by bringing truth and honesty into the atmosphere. Today let me be true to myself

When my mental mantra is ‘I want’, my desires will be satisfied, but only momentarily. That is because the motive behind all desires is achieved or acquired then the ‘self’ will be complete. Desires come in never ending queues because the self can never be satisfied of completed by something from outside itself. Only when I realize that I am already complete and need nothing to fulfill me, will I rediscover real peace and happiness. Today let me be free from wanting and experience the peace and contentment of my own ‘inner space’.

Courage is the breath of a spiritual life. If I have lost courage I have stopped breathing. To learn and grow requires stepping away from the comfort zone of old patterns. When I have courage, I feel alive stretching myself beyond limits. Today let me enjoy breathing courage.

Breathe deeply. In today’s world it is possible to move so quickly from activity to activity that I do not stop to breathe. the body needs deep breath to sustain the internal organs. In the same way when I stop for a moment of silence, it is like taking deep breath for the soul. Many people are experiencing a form of spiritual asphyxiation as they do not have the breath of silence in their lives. Today let me breathe deeply, both physically and spiritually.

I don’t actually need anything to be happy. It’s not something that comes from outside, it comes from inside, and when I decide to radiate with happiness, I find the energy within to support this decision. Then I watch in amazement to see what this energy attracts into my life. Today let me decide to be happy, and watch magic begin to enter my life.

There is no greater teacher than one’s own practical example. To truly benefit others I must be an example myself. This means that I must be the first to change. As I change, my example will inspire others. When I absorb spiritual power, knowledge and experience my personal transformation will ultimately bring benefit to all. Today let me be the first to change.

Support spiritual transformation with your original qualities. When my spiritual effort is supported from my original self I access the power of positivity to help me progress. If, however, I am basing my spiritual effort on a limited support like ego, I will find spiritual progress difficult. The ego will convince me that I must work with and deconstruct my weaknesses. This takes me into the darkness of the soul where I might get lost. To work from the power of my original and eternal qualities(the virtues) is to use positivity to face, transform the weaknesses and I watch them fall away. Today let me approach my own transformation from the positive position of the true self.
